Location and transport
Apres Whitefish is 20 km from Glacier Park International. The Stumptown Inn also sells tickets for the Glacier Express, which provides transportation from Whitefish to Glacier National Park and up to Whitefish Mountain Resort 4 times per day in the summer. Downtown's covered sidewalks lead to boutique shops, art galleries, and custom jewelers. Landmarks nearby are Riverside Park, Sunti World Art Gallery, Victorian Casino, Whitefish Gallery, The Purple Pomegranate, Going to the Sun Gallery, Frank Lloyd Wright Building, Dick Idol Signature Gallery, Whitefish River Trail, and First Presbyterian Church; all located within 1 km.
Forest and activities
The scenic Stillwater State Forest is on the western flank of Glacier National Park. Glacier National Park stretches across thousands of miles of snow-capped Rocky Mountain peaks in Northwest Montana. Guests can volunteer to help the local Search and Rescue look for a number of hikers missing in the woods of the Northfork. Experienced guides will show you some of the best things Glacier Country has to offer. A Able Fishing Charters and Tours also offers fishing Guides on Flathead Lake, Rivers and other area Lakes.
